Whether you’re a first time buyer or a seasoned veteran, buying a home can be a frustrating and stressful experience. However it can also be easy, joyful and fulfilling. What makes the difference? The relationship you have with your Realtor®. What Mike brings to the table for his clients: Knowledge: An experienced Realtor® must have knowledge of not only the homes in the area but also experience in the "buying process." As a top producing Realtor® in Calgary, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge to you. Relationship: Mike strives to create strong relationships with his clients. "I believe that a strong relationship built on the foundation of honesty and trust is one of the major differences between a stressful home purchase and a purchase backed with confidence, ease and satisfaction!" Buying your home is one of life's biggest financial investments, shouldn't you trust the person you choose to assist and guide you in making that decision? Patience: There is nothing worse then a Realtor® trying to sell you hard, giving you vague partial answers to your important questions, keeping you in the dark throughout the buying process and then after you move in, they are no where to be found. Patience is a true virtue in the real estate industry and it is an important value that Mike carries. "I want my clients to be completely comfortable with the entire process and the home they choose and that means sitting down with them for as long as it takes and explaining all the steps, the pros and cons, all the ins and outs. If I were in my clients shoes, I would want all the information before I made a decision that I felt completely comfortable with." Your needs before his: When a Realtor® puts his/her needs in front of their clients, trouble soon follows. "I often have clients say to me: You don't have to do that, you've done so much already, do you ever sleep? When do you find time for yourself? My response: I am here committed to your needs and until they are met, I will not stop doing my job. I am completely committed to my clients and ensuring that they are 100% satisfied with my services from beginning to end." The first step in the process If you agree that the relationship you have with your Realtor® is one of the most important aspects of the buying process, then you will need to meet Mike first. The initial interview takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. In that period, Mike will explain the process of buying a home and the potential costs involved. He will ask many important questions regarding your needs such as your community of choice, the type of home, size, number of bedrooms, etc. All questions that need to be answered in order to narrow down the number of potential homes and for Mike to completely understand your needs. Mike will also bring all current homes on the market, to you. That’s right. Before you ever spend your valuable time going in and out of homes that may not fit, you will have the opportunity to sit down with Mike and take a close look at detailed reports on the properties and determine for yourself which homes you would like to view. A major time saver! Another important aspect of the initial interview is that it is your opportunity to meet and evaluate Mike. Would you buy a home with a Realtor® that you did not like or felt that you could not trust? Not likely.” Just as important, it’s an opportunity for Mike to meet you as well. It’s important for him to know that he can meet your needs and that the relationship is a good fit. How do I move forward with the first step?
