Knowledge: An experienced Realtor® must have knowledge of not only the current value of your home by comparing it's characteristics to similar characteristics of homes that have recently sold in the same area but must also have in-depth experience in the "selling process." I would rather be honest with my clients from the beginning about where the market is and determine a reasonable price range with them, then to promise them the world only to end up 2 months longer on the market and $10,000 less then for an actual sale price then originally anticipated.”

The first step in the process

The first step in the process is meeting with Mike. If you agree that the relationship you have with your Realtor® is one of the most important aspects of the selling process, then you will need to meet Mike first. The initial interview takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. In that period, Mike will explain the process of selling your home and the potential costs involved. Mike will also bring with him an in-depth report including all comparable homes so that you have an opportunity to sit down and really compare apples to apples and determine a reasonable list price and a probable selling price. From there Mike will walk you through a format to determine the amount of money you will walk away with once everything is paid out and your home is sold. Mike will also take numerous photos of your home for advertising as well as measure each major room. He will get to work right away to ensure that a sign and lock box are installed at your home within 24 hours and your personal brochures with multiple photos will be displayed in your home within 48 hours. Not only does Mike go to work right away, he also launches his aggressive marketing plan, "Exceptional results through maximum exposure," a program solely aimed at driving qualified buyers to the table!

Another important aspect of the initial interview is that it is your opportunity to meet and evaluate Mike.
